Our AAHA Accreditation:
Our facility is accredited by AAHA or the American Animal Hospital Association. While every human hospital is required to be accredited, the same does not apply to veterinary clinics.
AAHA accreditation is completely voluntary and our accreditation puts us in a prestigious minority of small animal practices in the U.S. that pursue and achieve this rigorous accreditation. In fact, only 15% of small animal practices have successfully gone through the rigorous AAHA inspection. The inspection takes an uncompromising look at almost every part of a veterinary practice and is composed of over 900 different standards. Here are a few of the big ones:
- Patient care or how we take care of your cat, dog or small furry friend
- Pain management standards
- Use of diagnostic imaging like x-rays
- Facility safety standards
- Dentistry practices
- Medical record keeping
- Emergency care practices
- Anesthetic procedure standards
- And much more.
There are even standards that cover continuing education for our veterinarians and veterinary technicians. We are very proud of AAHA accreditation and feel that it helps make us one of the best veterinary clinics in the Aurora area. We serve all of southeast Aurora including zip codes 80015, 80013, 80016, 80011, 80012 and more!

Parkside Is Active In The Aurora Veterinary Community
We work closely with community rescue groups to provide surgical and veterinary care. Dr. Eisenhauer works closely with shelters in the area to help support spay/neuter efforts. Other members of the Parkside team have participated in spay/neuter trips to Mexico and the southern U.S.
We love working with our community and we are happy to provide surgical care for cats and dogs that don’t have homes along with those that already have loving families. We recently worked with the Denver Dachshund Rescue to perform a very cool heartworm removal surgery on a little dog named Bobby Sue.
